Our lessons focus on the whole-horse experience and learning life lessons by working with these amazing animals. Children are expected to help care for the horse from their very first lesson. As their equine knowledge and experience increase, there are opportunities for riders to help out at the barn from routine barn chores to helping with lessons to training young ponies and horses. Lessons are taught in small groups, with an emphasis on each student progressing at their own pace.
Lynden students have the opportunity to show on the local show circuit from April through October. Most of the shows we attend are VHSA Associate Program shows. For students that are 4-H members, there are county, district, and state showing opportunities as well. For advanced students, there are also occasional opportunities to show at local VHSA Associate Jumper Shows.
